QOTD #00031: “If you could witness any moment in history, what would it be?”
They say the history books are written by the winners. We very rarely get to see the full picture. What is a moment in history you would like to see? It could just be for pleasure, or maybe you want to see what really went down...

A fly on the wall at the first Les Mis.
"If I could be a fly on the wall in any historical moment, I would be at the opening night of the original production of Les Mis in London. That would be where I- That would be where I wanted to be. I think- I think that that would make me die happy. I mean, the talent and the theatrics and just, like, the history of that, I think that that would be really, really awesome."

Feeling that Rubber Soul with The Beatles.
"I would be a fly on the wall during the Rubber Soul recording sessions with The Beatles. Uh, it's my favorite Beatles album, and I do believe that The Beatles are the most influential and important musicians, uh, in modern music, period."

Bill Clinton and that blue dress
"Personally speaking, I would be most interested in, um, the Bill Clinton impeachment, uh, specifically the events leading up to the impeachment because, um, honestly, I mean, like, I want to know what really happened."

"If I could witness any moment in history, it would honestly be when Marilyn Monroe sang Happy Birthday to the president. I don't know why. I just think that would be such a cool, iconic moment to see and witness."

Braveheart, Shakespeare - and Rome looked lit.
"Honestly, that's a tough question since there are just so many interesting times throughout history, but I have been able to narrow it down to my top three. So, my number one would definitely have to be during the time of Sir William Wallace since that's an extremely interesting era. Plus, Braveheart was one of my favorite movies. And I'd also have to say the second one would probably be Ancient Rome because I just heard that time was lit. And number three would probably be during Shakespearean England since I'd just love to know how he wrote those plays."
James B
Los Angeles, CA
A fly on the backboard watching Michael Jordan score.
"If I could be a fly on any- If I could be a fly on a wall in any moment of history, I would definitely be on the wall of the backboard of Michael Jordan's game-six, game-winning shot against the Utah Jazz in 1998."
Ximena Z

Art and history collide at the Coliseum.
"I will be in the Coliseum because I think it has a lot of history in the world, and it's the most beautiful art ever."
Luis R
Los Angeles, CA
A studio session with The Beatles.
"It would have to be a Beatles recording session - see how they made their music, how they worked with each other, their workflow. It would be crazy to see them. That would be my moment."
Meagan R

The day that marriage is for everyone.
"Given the opportunity to be a fly on the wall during any moment in history, I would choose the moment that LGBTQ marriage became legal in the United States federally."

Watch da Vinci paint the Mona Lisa.
"If I was a fly on the wall, I would have watched da Vinci paint the Mona Lisa."
Julia W

What was up with the Salem witch trials?
"I would want to watch the Salem witch trials just so I could psychoanalyze everyone involved, you know? Was it drugs? Was it something gone wrong in their food source? I wanna know what was up."
Deni R
New York City, NY
To watch the Founding Fathers change America.
"If I could be a fly on the wall in a moment in history, I would be in the room where it happens with Alexander Hamilton, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison when they make life-changing decisions for America."

What's cool about me!
Shedding a tear at Jordan's winning shot.
"So, if I could be a fly on the wall in any moment in history, the room that I would be in is a stadium, like the basketball stadium, um, that they played the North Carolina-Georgetown game - the one where Michael Jordan, like, had his, you know, game-winning shot. I would definitely love to be in that room seeing, like, all the vibes and everyone just going crazy when that shot just goes off, and, like, just seeing that would probably make me cry. So yeah."
