QOTD #00023: “Where is your hometown and what do you miss most (or least!) about it?”
You can travel all around the world, but there’s no place like home! There’s a certain hometown pride that sticks with us all, no matter where life takes us. What’s something special about your hometown, a fabulous Fourth of July celebration or awesome sports teams? Maybe it’s the local food or people. Share your story!

"Cling on national anthem. So I don't know if my last video got submitted or not. I've been having a lot of problems. But anyway, I come from New Jersey and I grew up right on the water right on the ocean. I miss the water. The smell of the sea. The breeze. Um, I don't I won't miss it in the winter because I haven't been here quite a year, but because that wind is is wicked, but I miss the water."

The lovely beach weather of Los Angeles.
"My hometown is in Los Angeles. I love the weather. It's just such a beautiful place. You can go to the beach and have fun there anytime."

Good food for cheap in East L.A.
"My hometown is East Los Angeles in California, and what I enjoyed the most about it, or what I miss the most is the food. Always good food. Very inexpensive. Um, just a good time."

I love and hate how small my hometown is.
"My hometown is Milledgeville, Georgia. It's dead in the center of Georgia. What I love about my hometown is it's small, so we pretty much know everybody. And what I hate about my hometown is it's small, so we pretty much know everybody."

I miss and I *love* Ohio State football - and family.
"My hometown is in the cornfields of Ohio, and I miss it most because that's where my family is still at. A lot of my friends are still there. And I miss and I *love* Ohio State football, as you can see."

I don't miss the clouds of Seattle!
"My hometown is just outside Seattle, Washington, and now I'm in sunny L.A. So the one thing I don't miss is the clouds and the rain. I'm sorry, I just don't."

It was close to New York, but had no bubble tea!
"So my hometown is a medium-small town in New Jersey, kinda near New York City, and one thing I do miss is that easy access to New York City. It's not that easy to get in, but, like, it's an hour drive. It's an hour train ride - 45-minute drive, so that's been nice. And what I don't miss is that my house is fairly far from our downtown area. It's walkable but you have to commit, and where I live now, it's five-minute walk to Downtown. It's amazing. Also, there are no bubble tea places in my hometown. It was a tragedy."

I miss snowy, snowy winters in New Jersey.
"You know, currently I'm in Los Angeles, but my hometown is back in New Jersey, and I guess the thing I miss most about it is snow. I haven't seen snowfall in about three years since I got to college, and that's definitely a really nice thing in the winter - be able to go out, build a snowman, go sledding. So, definitely miss that."

I miss my buddies back in Arlington.
"My hometown is Arlington, Texas, and the thing I miss most about it are a lot of friends that were left behind. Um, friends, yeah, that's the thing I miss the most."

My hometown is close to cool California cities.
"My hometown is Vacaville, California. The thing I miss about the most is that it's - you're easily able to get to San Francisco or Sacramento within an hour."

Having fun the simple way in Georgian suburbia.
"I'm from Cumming, Georgia, which is like a super boring suburb, and there isn't a lot to do there. But I do miss getting to pick up my friends and drive around aimlessly or walk around the Walmart or go to WaHo at 2 a.m. I really miss when that was my idea of a fun night."

The close-knit community in my small town.
"My hometown is Longview, Texas, and I miss - I just miss some of the people. I miss my family most of all. While being up here, um, I've missed that close-knit community. I miss being able to, you know, just talk to your neighbors, and everyone just kinda knows one another, like, that's one thing I do miss. Um, just the real simple, easy-going, small-town life."

I miss the mad Danish tourists in Solvang.
"Well, I'm from Solvang, California, which is a Danish town on the Central Coast. Bakeries everywhere, windmills everywhere, huge tourist attraction, and I really miss my friends and family. But I think the thing that I miss most of all is when actual Danish people would come to town and they'd be really mad, and they'd go, "This is not what Copenhagen looks like," and we'd have to apologize, you know, for getting it wrong. I miss that."

I miss that New Orleans Cajun and Creole cooking
"So being from New Orleans, something I really miss is the cooking and the people. Like, being from New Orleans is one of those things - you love the Cajun and the Creole cooking. So if you don't miss that, something is wrong with you. Yeah."
