In-N-Out of a ticket
"This actually happened like three days ago. I get pulled over because I just got a new car and the license plate in the back wasn't screwed on because we didn't have the right screws for it. So I get pulled over, and I had just gotten In-N-Out, and I just talked about In-N-Out the entire time. I talked about my burger, talking about my fries, and they loved it. They ate that up. Not literally, because that was my burger, but yeah. No, I got away because they enjoyed me talking about burgers. It was it was it was kinda depressing that the police really just let me get away because of burgers."

Rushing out of trouble
"So I've never really talked my way out of a ticket. I did get a warning from when someone pulled me over, but I didn't talk my way through. I think he knew that I was, like, going super fast - I was late to work. I was wearing, like, a ref uniform, and I was just, like, I was in high school, and I was just, like, 'Ah, yeah, like, I have to go. Um, sorry,' like, whatever. And he just let me go. Just act like you're in a hurry to go somewhere. So, that's how you get out of it."

I would if I could
"I've never talked my way out of a ticket. I just accept it and I wait for the officer to get back in their car and pay it. Now, if I could talk my way out of a ticket, I'd definitely do it, but unfortunately, I don't know how."

Baby first, ticket later
"So if I were ever to get pulled over and get a ticket - me and my family have actually planned this. So if we were all in the same car, um, we would just blame it on the female that was in the car, or me. That and say we were pregnant and, you know, hopefully they'll let us off the hook, you know. We'll say that we were giving birth at the moment and that we needed to go now to the hospital. So yeah."

One ticket was enough
"The one time I ever got a ticket, I was 17, and I was so scared that I just started crying a lot. Um, still got the ticket - very traumatizing. So since then, I have just been super careful on the road, so I don't think that I would know how to talk my way out of one."

Running through, or over, the stop sign
"I have never talked my way out of a ticket before. I mean, there have been cops who literally just wanted to give me a warning, and people who just, like, wanted to just give me a ticket. But this one time, I, like, I blew a stop sign, but it wasn't a real stop sign. It was, like, on the it was on the ground, like, it had fallen over so, like, no one can see it. So it was, like, not a real stop sign. It just, like, wasn't there because it was on the ground. And then I got pulled over, and then the guy was, like, yelling at me for not stopping at the stop sign, but I was like, 'It's on the ground, like, I don't know. I can't see it. It's on the ground.' And then I almost didn't get out of that, but luckily he got, like, called on his, um, like, walkie, and he had to leave the scene, so I got away with it. Blowing a stop sign that was on the ground."

Dying to dodge a ticket
"When I talked my way out of a ticket, I was going at 90 in a 70 - a total no-no. I was rushing home from college to see my girl, and the way I talked my way out of it was I said I was going to a funeral. I know, it's so bad, but hey, look, you gotta do what you gotta do when the ticket time comes. You don't wanna pay it. Don't do it."

Manners go a long way
"I've never particularly talked my way out of a ticket, but I, of course, always find if you're extremely polite to the officer, call him 'Sir,' and just generally easy to get along with, usually the cops'll at least give you a warning - if you're not, you know, don't have too bad a record."

"When I had a ticket, it was because I just didn't know that you were supposed to have headlights on in a car when you were driving at night because I'd only driven with them automatic before. And to get out of it, I did what my police officer who came into my driver's ed class said at sophomore year, where he said that, 'If a woman cries in front of me, I'm not going to give her a ticket.' And it's exactly what I did, and to this day, I have not gotten a ticket."

Think nice and fast!
"Now, I know I don't have the assets to be able to talk myself out of every ticket. Uh, that's not real. But I did talk my way out of a ticket once. I mean, just by being nice and be like, 'Oh, did I go that fast, officer?' You know, something like that. Most of it is just being nice, and so, 'I won't do it next time,' and being polite. But sometimes you can't get away with that kind of thing."
