QOTD #00025: “What's the best piece of advice you received that you'd share with the world?”
Sometimes when we do listen to others, we can learn from their mistakes and lead with greater knowledge. What is a piece of advice that you live by, or one that you wish you listened to sooner.? Let the world know.

'On time' is late, and 'early' is on time'
"What's the best piece of advice you received? The share with the world was not a piece that I received myself. But the best place I've ever heard is it's such a simple one as well. It is. On time is late and early is on time."

Don't apologize for taking space in people's lives
"I was told a long time ago that I don't need to apologize for taking space in people's lives, and I really wish I believed it and listen to it so long ago, But I think it's important that people know that like you're allowed to lay boundaries and you're allowed to tell people like Hey, Please don't say that to me. It upsets me like and if they get upset about it, that's their problem. Not yours."

Great advice from Grandma!
"You know the piece of advice I'd like to give to the world is something my grandmother left with me, Gertrude, wise old bird as she was. She said to me, "Baby, some people just can't see for looking." Now, if I have to explain that one to you, then you're one of them, okay? Figure it out."

"What's the best piece of advice that I've received that I'd like to share with the world? Don't take things personally, that is for sure. When people say something to you, don't take it personally. Don't react too much. Don't overreact. Don't freak out. Don't overthink what they're saying. A lot of times when people say things it's based on their own situation; it's not even based on you. And even if it is, who cares? So don't react too much to what people say. Don't put too much weight into it because it's not that important, really, at the end of the day."

Your attitude determines your altitude!
"So growing up, I was always told, 'your attitude will determine your altitude,' and it stuck with me. I didn't really understand it until I was older, but it has stuck with me all this time, and I'm like, now that I got it, I'ma hold onto it, and I'ma keep on sharing it."

Enjoy life while you have it.
"I would say that the best piece of advice that I ever received was to live life to the fullest because we're not here forever. And time isn't also forever so, enjoy life while you have it."

Advice from a 98-year old on regrets.
"Best pieces of advice I ever got is, "it's not the things that you do that you regret. It's the things that you don't do that you regret." This was told to me by 96 year old man, so that would be my advice."

Don't worry about what you can't control.
"I think the best piece of advice I've been given over the years that I would like to share is probably to not worry about what you can't control, whether it be how other people feel or what other people do. Everybody has their own life and has their own decisions to make so worrying about someone else's is a waste of time."

Just keep grinding.
"It's to probably keep trying, never give up, to- eventually you get to where you want to get to. Perseverance is key. It's rare you get what you want on your first try, so just keep grinding."

Keep pushing and find your purpose in life
"The best piece of advice I've ever received was to keep pushing, find my purpose in life. Whether that's in my workplace in the gym with my friends, if you have a purpose in life that will always give you something to chase. If you're just doing it aimlessly, you'll have nothing to work for always set goals and always try to accomplish those goals with your purpose."

Everyone is your mirror
"No one is your enemy. No one is your friend. Everyone is your mirror. It means that everything that happens around you is a reflection of yourself. And if you are experiencing the same problems, whether it's in relationship, career, whatever, over and over again, it's because there's something in yourself that needs to be addressed."

Nothing is ever as good - or as bad - as it seems
"The best piece of advice I ever heard that I would love to share with everyone is from famous Australian rugby league coach, a wise old man. He said - and I love this - nothing is ever as good as it seems, but nothing's ever as bad at the same time. He's a simple man . I don't know that one just stuck with me . And you should It should stick with you, too."
