QOTD #00052: “What cool plants & flowers will you grow in your garden this Spring?”
Gardening is a greatly underestimated hobby. Many people try to do it, and surprisingly few are entirely successful. How well do you know your plants? What are you growing in the garden this season?

I'll probably start with the garden herbs
"We're just building our backyard, so we don't have anything to grow you have or anything to plant. Um they're hoping to finish soon and if so, I'll probably start with the garden herbs."

Is this a metaphorical question?
"Okay, I don't know if this is supposed to be a metaphorical question, and I apologize if it is, but no, I am not growing anything in my garden this spring. I live in an apartment, and I'm 22, so I don't have a garden."

Hopefully 'brown thumbs' don't run in the family
"I'm actually - I actually am growing something this spring. I'm, um, I'm trying to get a basil plant kind of set up on the balcony of my apartment, and, you know, I have, uh- my mom always had a, uh, a brown thumb because everything she tried to grow horribly died, but hopefully that doesn't, uh, doesn't run in the family."

Pumpkins, watermelons, sunflowers, roses and more
"Yes, I'm actually growing a lot of things in my garden this spring. I have pumpkins and watermelons. I have some sunflowers growing. I have a few roses. I have daylilies. Let's see, what else. You know, I've been really trying to grow strawberries and for some reason, I um- where I live, it's really hot, so strawberries aren't working, but everything else's just taking off. The pumpkins, I have like, easily like eight or nine pumpkins. It's pretty awesome."

I didn't realize you have to water it, so my cactus die
"Uh, I couldn't lie. I just- straight up, no, I'm not growing anything. I tried to grow cactus, but I didn't realize you actually still had to give it water, so my cactus died, so I'm straight up off growing things. Like I kind of- yeah, I wouldn't, I wouldn't be able to grow an onion, let alone anything else."

I like growing herbs for cooking
"Yes, I am growing some basil, some thyme, some rosemary, um. I like growing a lot of herbs, so - I like adding it to my cooking - so that's what I'm growing. And then I have a couple of flowers that I'm grossing- growing. I have a rose bush, so that I'm looking forward to seeing."
